This is to inform the general public that the 2019/20 Federal Government Scholarship Awards for eligible Nigerians studying in all Public Tertiary institutions in the country has started. NYSC Online Registration Guideline – How to Register For NYSC In Few Steps

This post is mainly for Nigerians studying in any of the Public Tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and College of Education). It will help you on how to start and complete your application, this to bring fro the screening exercise and the dates for the exam. This has been a long time Federal Ministry of education Scholarship award.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA For 2019 Federal Government Scholarship

All applicants must fall under the following category to be eligible for this scholarship;

1. UNIVERSITY UNDERGRADUATE: full-time students in their second year of study and above in any Federal or State Universities with CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 point scale or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations
2. HIGHER NATIONAL DILPLOMA (HND): Studencts from Federal or State Polytechnics or Monotechnics, they must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 4 scale or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.
3. NIGERIAN CERTIFICATE IN EEDUCATION (NCE):full-time students in their second year of study and above in any Federal or State Colleges of Education and they must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 4 point scale, or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.
4. POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP: Applicants must be registered full – time students of Federal or State universities and must have a minimum of second class Honours (Upper Division) in their 1st degree.

METHOD OF APPLICATION – Federal Government Scholarship

Completed application forms should be printed and submitted at the various interview centers alongside the following photocopies:

• Letter of admission to the institution
• Current Course Registration Form
• Student Identity Card
• Last sessional CGPA result
• Letter of identification from State/Local Government of origin
• Two passport – size photographs with name fully written at the back

How Apply for 2019/20 Federal Government Scholarship

To apply for this Federal Government Scholarship follow the steps below.

• Log on to the Federal ministry of education portal at http://www.education.gov.ng/
• Scroll down to locate Scholarship Board and click on Read More.
• Now select on the second option (Federal Government Scholarship Awards (2019/20) for eligible Nigerians studying in all Public Tertiary institutions in the country – Apply now)
• Click on the Register link
• Select the option Applicable to you, (see image below)
• Enter your email, and choose a password and click on Register.

At this point you can login with your email address and password to continue your registration.

Finally, remember that you will need to upload your passport, Admission Letter, and your signature in the course of your registration.
